Make the most of what is around us this Easter

With Easter fast approaching with its long weekend, there has never been a better time to actually make the most of this extra time off and take yourself off somewhere in the UK. There is plenty to choose from, whether you are going away as a couple or as a family, a great time will be had by all and the only thing you will have to keep your fingers crossed for is the weather.

If you love the water then you are spoilt for choice and there really is no better way to relax and unwind than to take a narrow boat holiday on the waterways of England. This is one way of completely escaping from the packed pubs and excesses that always accompany a bank holiday in the UK, and you will be the one returning to the desk feeling and looking completely refreshed and not like you have spent the entire weekend in a bush.

There are miles and miles of rolling countryside waiting to be explored and the best way to do this is to take a farm based break. Whether you prefer a self catering cottage option or staying in a traditional farmhouse and enjoying B&B and farm hospitality, these breaks are easy to find right across the country. The again, if you fancy really getting stuck in and get very close to nature, a break on a working farm where its all hands on deck might be right up your street.

Family breaks at holiday parks are undergoing a real resurgence of interest, and they have certainly moved with the times to accommodate the demands of today’s youngsters. These can be found right across the UK and offer cheap and comfortable accommodation in caravans, lodges etc and while the kids are making the most of what is on offer for them, mum and dad can take time out and relax in a spa or sauna.
