Barmouth Bay Holiday Park, located in Talybont, Gwynedd, North Wales, is set beside a beautiful beach, having the Snowdonia National Park mountain ranges as a backdrop. Haulfryn Holidays were the previous owners of the new park.
Away Resorts, the new owners, now have a portfolio of 4 parks; The Mill Trthe Holiday Village on Hayling Island, the Tattershall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire, the Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight, and the new park in Wales.
The Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight was the first to be acquired when the Away Resorts was formed in 2008, then the acquisition of Tattershall Lakes in 2009 and the Mill Rythe in 2010.
The Mill Rythe was on the verge of going under administration when it was acquired by Away resorts. After an investment of £1 million, the park became profitable, under the new management, and within 20 months it was given the Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence, for consistently maintaining a four star review from its customers.
Away Resorts is dedicated to providing affordable British Holidays, as is evident from its investments, a strategy that has made a record 17% increase in overall bookings, across the three parks, in the year 2012.
Following a new re-brand, undertaken by Gendall Design, responsible for branding and designing the Eden Project’s website, Away resorts has launched a new-look brochure. The company has redesigned Away Resorts’ website adding a new booking application which promises to improve the user-friendly experience.
The successful booking figures and redesign came after Away Resorts ranked 81st in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list of fastest growing private businesses, having increased sales by approximately 300% since its inception in 2008.
